One year of work experience in Canada in the past three years, under NOC 0, A, or B categories, can be non-continuous and must not include work experience during study periods or self-employment.
If the job is classified as NOC 0 or A, the language requirement is CLB level 7. If it is classified as NOC B, the language requirement is CLB level 5.
If the applicant has one year of continuous work experience in Canada and their language proficiency reaches CLB level 7, they can easily meet the requirements for both FSW and CEC. Once in the pool, the specific program of the applicant does not affect the scoring, so there is no need for the applicant to be concerned about which program they use to immigrate.
